DAILY CARPET CARE

Carpet will require some basic care and maintenance to look great day in and day out. By establishing your own maintenance routine, you can help ensure that your floors age well as the years pass.

Vacuuming is essential to the daily and long-term beauty of carpet. By vacuuming, you are working to remove dirt, dust, and other debris that are present in the fibers of the carpet. This debris could build up over time and lead to premature aging and damage to the fibers. How often you vacuum will depend on the traffic that your carpet receives, but plan on doing so at least once a week.

It is always recommended that you remove shoes before walking across your carpet as well. If you find that the carpet has taken on a lackluster look, then it could be time for restretching. Fortunately, our team provides carpet repair and restretching services.

DIRT & DEBRIS

Dirt and debris should be vacuumed up immediately when present on your carpet floors. The longer dirt is left to sit, the more likely it is to work its way into the fibers, causing long-term damage. When a solid or liquid accident occurs on your carpet, the best practice is to address it immediately.

SPILLS & STAINS

While carpets may be more vulnerable to liquid spills than hard surface flooring options, a spill does not necessarily need to lead to a stain. The key is to act fast when an accident occurs. When you have a liquid spill on your carpet, grab a cloth and immediately absorb up the mess. From there, you can obtain another cloth and dab at the spill with cold water. If the spill persists, contact your manufacturer for approved cleaning solutions.
